One thing about the holidays is that it is nice to have time to be with family and for family to come home if they've moved away.
My brother Josh and his girlfriend Kelly were home like 3 weekends in a row. It was nice having them home and hanging out at my dad's.
Today, I went over to my dad's to help him and Kay with their new iPhones and to my surprise Josh and Kelly were there! Dad and Kay had made a big breakfast and I showed up just in time to partake!
Growing up, every dinner was interrupted by a big gasp immediately followed by, "Oh, No! I forgot the rolls in the oven!" Sometimes there was smoke. Sometimes we had to scrape the "burnt" off the bottom of the rolls.
This morning was a new one... As we were eating in the dining room I look out into the kitchen and see smoke. I brought it to everyone's attention and once again there was a big gasp but this time it was followed by, "Ahhhh I left the waffles in the waffle maker!!!"
It's always something in the Funk household!
